My dream to own a road bike came true last June on my 21st birthday. I was immediately plugged in with a great group in my hometown and became quickly addicted to group rides and cycling. A pretty gnarly wreck after my first month of riding took me off the bike for 2 months; the day my doctor approved me to ride again I was literally jumping for joy! Since then, I have been riding and training regularly. Whether it’s riding with the guys at home, various group rides in San Diego where I attend school, doing specific training workouts, or going on a solo 80- mile trek, I love being on the bike and have a passion for cycling. In February, I began racing and have done seven races total since then. RAAM will be my first ultra-endurance event and I am thrilled; I have been craving an epic bike adventure! I know that it will be an incredible challenge, which I love, and the experience of a lifetime!
