Although primarily a steering mechanism for his wife, Curt Simon has been credited for 46 Doubles and was inducted into the California Triple Crown Hall of Fame in 2009. He completed PBP alone and lonely on his half bike in 1999 and then accompanied his wife in 2003. Curt and his wife set out to do the Furnace Creek 508 in 2004, completing 497 miles of it before being DNFed because of a failed battery in their support vehicle. Curt successfully crewed on the 508 twice. Curt and Rebecca, rode the Terrible Two twice on a tandem,  the Devil Mountain Double and is the head SAG for the Marin Cyclists Mt Tamalpais Double Century. Curt has done 9 Death Rides, twice on a tandem, four Climb to Kaisers, twice on a tandem  and dreams of the day when he is not wracked with guilt for not getting up to train at 530AM every day.
