Hi, I am Alli Burt and am so very pleased to have been invited to the RAAM 2011 as a crew member for medical support. I have been in nursing for forty years. My career started in the Army Nurse Corp where after 8 months in Viet Nam, we closed down the last MASH unit as the war was coming to an end in 1972. I now realize since training for RAAM in Fresno ( with a bunch of crazy gung ho racers), my jobs for Team JDRF IGA will include much more than nursing, i.e. driving, navigating, mopping up sweat and best of all, cheerleading. That's a good thing, since my last 20 years of experience in nursing has been OB, labor and delivery and newborns. OK Anna PUSH! Watching Anna and Rick Stewart on their tandem bike around our little town of Janesville,CA. is always so sweet, yet curious to behold. Who ARE these people? Now I'm getting a true dose of what it's about. These racers are so awe-inspiring in their endeavor, commitment and sacrifices. My husband Kenny, sons and wives Zach and Prairie, Josh and Heidie and grandkids, Zoey and Avery are all rooting SUB SIX!!!
